My name is Donna. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis in 2004. It is very aggressive in me. My sister also has it and hers is terrible. She has lost her ability to walk properly, she can't shower without help or shave. she had a knee replacement at 42. She is now 44 and needs her other knee replaced. I look at her and see me in a few years and that is very scary for me. I used to be a very active person and it is hard to slow down. I push myself til the pain is unbearable, and I keep doing it over and over again. Some day I'll learn LOL. I've posted in Lupus under topic Hello about all the things going on in my life. CHeck it out if your interested. I hope all who join will share their stories with me here. Hope to hear from new friends soon. ;D God Bless

I hope you don't slow down too much, I have an idea how you feel. I've arthritis in both hands, degenerative disk disease in my neck and back, and osteoporosis in my right leg, etc. I guess I could give up but playing my guitar helps me alot and keeps my fingers going, and I don't really think of the pain much. The rest I can't do much about, so I'll just do my best and take whatever comes my way, cause years ago I found worry to be very non-productive but very emotionally draining.

I'm glad you are not letting the illnesses control you. I haven't been on for a while due to my hands locking up. I haven't been able to move them at all without severe pain. I would love to play guitar. I love how they sound as solos. My hobby is working on computers and gardening. I used to like to ride horses but can't hold the reins good enough. I'm afraid I'll fall off. Well nice to hear from you. Write back. God Bless and thanks. Donna
