Bipolar disorder tends to carry a stigma, as most mental illness do, that our families can find difficult or impossible to accept. Many families stand beside their loved ones through good times and bad, come what may, but there are some that remain in denial and cannot accept that their family member could have this type of illness. This thread is intended as a place to share your experiences with family and friends. Their reactions to your illness and how you've dealt with those reactions. Or if you are a loved one of someone with BP how you cope with their illness on a day to day basis.
