OK... Me first I guess. ;D
I have an anxiety disorder due to stresses of other medical problems. My hormones are out of whack, which can cause anxiety, but I also have a form of Epilepsy. My panic attacks usually happen when I'm concerned about something seizure related.

I have panic attacks whenever I am anticipating something, usually pain. I hold my breath without realizing it and I pass out. I found this out when I was 12. I had my first pimple and my mom popped it for me. I was so scared it would hurt that after she was done, I passed out. Another time was when I was in the kitchen eating, and I bit my tongue, it hurt so bad I must have held my breath, because I passed out and hit my chin on the counter. Luckily, mom was there again. If I go to get my blood taken or to get a shot, I wind up feeling dizzy and I break out into a sweat. I have to lay down or I will pass out. Something funny happened once. Again, I was with my mom, we were eating at Subway and she bit her tongue. I got worried and unknowingly held my breath before finding out she was okay. The employees wound up having to call 911 for me. And it was my mom that got hurt!
(You know, I'm beginning to wonder if it's my mom that is the source of my panic attacks...LOL)

Good Morning Godzgrl Welcome to the site. I've heard of people fainting with anxiety. (I don't actually faint but deal with lightheadedness and occasional vertigo.) I wonder if I'm holding my breath without being aware of it. I'll have to try to be more aware of it next time it happens. Easy to say, maybe a little harder to put into practice though. Glad to see you with us. Hope to hear more from you soon.

ok so i'm new to all this and i'm not really sure where to start so I figured I would just start by telling my story..well I have severe depression, anxiety and ptsd because I was severally abused as a child. I have had panic attacks for a long time but in October I started having seizures. Me and my family thought it was epilepsy but it was really non epileptic attacks. Pretty much my body can't handle stress of any kind so it goes into shut down and I have what looks like an epileptic seizure..it really lolliepops and I wasn't sure if anyone else has this same problem.
