There are tons of treatment plans out there that include anti-ep medications, diet, surgery, herbal treatment, and many others. Curious as to what everyone is currently playing around with. Feel free to add anything you like.
As I said in another post, I am currently not taking any medications at all. For right now, it's the best choice for me. I was on Dilantin for awhile and made the choice to come off because the side effects from the drug were worse for me than the seizures.
The main thing that I try to focus on is staying centered and calm. Reducing stress that can trigger a seizure is key for me. I always have candles lit in my apartment, and I never leave the house without lotion on my hands. I prefer citrus scents. The reason for this is if you are panicing (from an aura or an attack) and you smell a scent, it interupts the brain waves a moment and helps you relax. Citrus scents naturally improve your mood because they are "happy smells."
What about yall?

I did meds up until 99 than I tried the vns and had great success. The Dr was so pleased he weaned me off all my meds and I broke my leads in 2000 I think. I didn't trust he Drs anymore so I wouldn't let them fix it. Another 3 yrs of sz ,my body had a rest from meds. Couldn't take the dosage of keppra needed and I rejected everything else. Went back on tegretol and mysoline. Got a life threatening rash, retried so more meds. Decided I am in Oregon, this alternative med country. I thought about about nuero feedback but didn't have the cash. Went with homeapthy and very satisfied down to 1/2 tab of mysoline hope to drop the last in the next few months. And one dosage of homepathy med a week. I will never be able to ge off the homepathy med. I started the treatment to late in life for that, but thats ok. I can deal with homepathy meds over AED's fourstar
